SSS Tutor Application

Thank you for sending in an application to be a Tutor for the TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) program.

SSS is an academic support unit for undergraduate students who present with an academic need, and meet one or more of the following federal eligibility criteria:

First Generation

Low Income

Documented Disability

SSS is funded by a grant from the office of Federal TRIO Programs within the U.S. Department of Education.

The primary purpose of the TRIO programs SSS grant is to assist and support students with a successful transition from high school to college, and to assist these students with the successful completion of a post-secondary education.

SSS provides a variety of services, which include: academic coaching, tutoring, instructional component, personal counseling, cultural enrichment and workshops on academic and career planning and financial literacy.

SSS has seen the greatest number of requests for tutoring in the following subjects: Math, Chemistry, Biology, Accounting, Physics, Spanish, English/Writing, and Statistics; HOWEVER, applications are accepted for other subjects.
